Wolf Maison renovated this 1,800 s.f. suite in Moreland Courts; a building and neighborhood of considerable historical importance. Moreland Courts is located on Shaker Square in Shaker Heights, Ohio. The design of Shaker Square was patterned after the European central markets, most notably Amalienborg Square in Copenhagen. Today, Shaker Square is still a walkable, transit-rich, mixed-use neighborhood and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Moreland Courts building was built in 1922 by Otis and Mantis Van Sweringen, owners of the Terminal Tower in Cleveland. The style of this historic building is a mix of Georgian and Tudor architecture which blends with the stately homes in the area. This building represents the elegant lifestyles of the 1920’s.
