Medina Vision and Laser chose to relocate their practice to a much larger freestanding building that once housed a home & garden center. A decision which provided MV&L with the space their growing practice required, an opportunity to lease excess area, and a site that would accommodate a future expansion. Like any medical facility, patient/staff flow, room adjacency and careful management of public and private spaces were the driving forces behind the development of a floor plan.
The doctors were both integrally involved in the planning and design process at a very detailed level. We organized exam and treatment rooms around a central receiving and checkout area to allow for a linear pattern of movement, which spilled out to the contact lens repository and the large ‘boutique’ frame display area. Natural stone, stained concrete floors and vividly colored walls & graphics help to make a warm and inviting environment.
